Australian Media Hall of Fame

Last year Maxine McKew was inducted into the Australian Media Hall of Fame. The Australian Media Hall of Fame, founded in 2011 by the Melbourne Press Club, comprises more than 110 reporters, editors, broadcasters, photographers, cartoonists, commentators and publishers. The journalism of these individuals has not only been outstanding but has also made a difference to society. 

Maxine is currently the Support Director for the University of Melbourne Network of Schools at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.


 

Awards for Excellence in Leadership

The LH Martin Institute were awarded the Excellence in Leadership award at the ATEM/Campus Morning Mail best practice awards in tertiary education.


Women in Leadership

Associate Professor Kristine Elliott and Dr Marian Mahat have been successful in gaining a place in the 2019 Academic Women in Leadership Program.


Universitas 21 Scholarships for Professional Staff

Joann Cattlin, Project Manager from the ILETC Project has been recognised for her outstanding performance and was awarded the Universitas 21 Professional Staff Scholarship. The scholarship she has been awarded provides development opportunities for recipients and benefits the University of Melbourne through the advancement of its administrative and management practices. By receiving the scholarship Joann will be able to develop her expertise, pass on what she learns and strengthen links with other institutions.
